We’re huge Disney fans. Growing up in Anaheim as a teenager and then managing a restaurant right down the road from Disney, we were there frequently. We still are, and Disney has a very special place in our hearts. Our kids all grew up with the movies and each of the four has a favorite and a related memory. I remember back when my oldest daughter was in kindergarten. She had started school with a smile on her face and barely a backward glance, as I sniffed quietly behind dark glasses. I spent a lot of time trying to help the teacher and class, and one of those days was their Halloween party. My daughter had to be a princess every year. Every.Single.Year. (Even now, her costumes are girly.) That year, she chose to be Cinderella. She rocked the hairdo and had the perfect princess wave as they walked in a circle around the classroom for all the parents to see. Sniff. Good memories!
Because of that, Cinderella, created back in the 1950’s, is one of my favorite Disney movies. My daughter’s gone on to love other princesses since, especially Ariel from The Little Mermaid, but Cinderella’s a timeless story. I was very excited to hear that Disney’s releasing a new version of the movie in 2015, a live-action movie, and I can’t wait to see it!
Here’s a sneak-peek at the trailer!
I wonder if I can get my daughter to still rock the tiara when we go to see it??
I can’t wait to see this movie when it comes out. 😉
I’ve always had a soft spot for all of the old-school Disney princesses; yes, I’d have to say, Cinderella is my fave too.
