So I had to run into Target to get a couple of things. (Shhh, don’t tell but I buy a lot of my younger son’s jeans there. He’s still oblivious to brand names and he grows so quick, it’s a good way to save some money that I’d rather spend on his brand name shoes, shirts and jackets.) I should have known I was in trouble when I didn’t make it past the dollar section before I started loading the cart.
Aren’t they cute?? $1 per package, perfect for some kind of decorating over the next few weeks…I have no clue which kind, but for $3, I have options.
I know, Fall isn’t for another 10 days or so, and here in SoCal, even longer, but I can plan ahead, right?
Then I saw these.
O M G…there are no real words. Be forewarned: the bag is small and the M&Ms are bigger than normal size. This means they go quickly.
Still, well-worth the $2.99.
And maybe another $2.99 when I buy more the next time…if there are any left. Hurry and get them, so you too can laugh at the M&M’s facial expression. Or don’t…more for me that way!
How’d these little babies find their way into my cart too??
Come on, it’s not Fall until you have candy corn. In your belly….
That’s bag #1, probably out of 9 or 10 we’ll buy before Halloween is done and gone. Keep in mind, we have a lot of people in and out of our house, so that won’t be just the six of us eating them. I am not normally a dye-in-my-food kind of person, but I will have to take a pass for a few weeks. These only come out once a year and they’re a favorite of mine. However, I do exercise self-restraint or I’d never make it through the holiday season without weight gain because I only have so much time to workout – holiday crafts and parties and events are coming!
Aren’t these chocolate and cookie molds adorable? I have plastic tubs full of these kinds of molds. Seriously, several tubs. Full. I love to melt different kinds of chocolate and make shapes for every holiday and party. My personal favorite? Chocolate race cars on pretzel sticks. TOO cute. These were hidden away to make a surprise lunch treat for my little guy. I wish I could be there when he pulls out his baggy at lunch time! Now that they make chocolate in even more colors, I can get crazy when I decorate. These are from Wilton and also come in many other shapes — I have flowers, stripes, Easter, etc. Too fun!
And of course, no home is complete this time of year without the appropriate flavor of K-Cups for the Keurig. You can guess what kind I bought, right?
These smell so good in the morning as you’re getting caffeinated before you wake the little ones for school or before you start your work day.
In the end, I got out of Target for only $77 — I of course used my Target debit Red Card, where the money comes directly out of my bank account but I get a 5% discount off the pre-tax total. In addition, my son’s school gets a kickback. (You can choose which school.) Double-score!
It may be in the high 90s for another three days here, and only in the 80s after that, but Fall is still in the air when you feel the cool of the 60s in the early morning hours. Eventually, that will stretch out and we’ll be able to enjoy our new patio and balcony. If we can’t change the weather, we can at least change our attitudes about it, right? We’ll fake Fall until it arrives!
