Coaqua: A Better Coconut Water You’ll Want to Drink
Part of my healthier lifestyle choices has been to work on staying hydrated. Our bodies function better when we’re not dehydrated, and liquids not only help us feel fuller, longer, but they also help flush out toxins. Problem is, plain water gets boring and we tend to drink less than we should. That means we need to find alternative options that are easily accessible, affordable, and make us want to drink them. Enter Coaqua, a super-premium coconut water redefining what hydration looks and tastes like.

Coaqua is a refreshing, nutritious, and eco-conscious beverage sourced from young green coconuts in the Mekong Delta of Vietnam. It currently comes in quite a few delicious flavors:
- Still Coconut Water
- Sparkling Coconut Water
- Citrus Circus
- Lemony Passion
- Soursoppin’
- Espresso’d Coconut Water
- Chocolate-y
Thanks to Coaqua’s team, I received a box of product in order to write about it so I can tell you what it’s like — and why I think it’s a great addition to your daily regimen. First things first though, it tastes like true coconut, not a watered-down version you find sold by so many other producers. It’s also free of artificial flavors and preservatives.
Not only do these beverages taste great on their own, but they also lend themselves to use in other ways. They are great additions to a smoothie — I blended a Citrus Circus with one cup of Greek Yogurt and two scoops of protein powder. Easy, fast, and it tasted so great! And because this is “Dangerous” Cupcake Lifestyle, I tried something unsurprising to any regular readers of my blog: I used an Espresso’d Coconut Water to make a martini. Incredible, and a healthier take on a currently trendy cocktail.

I got to sit in on a media briefing with the Coaqua team, where they shared their passion for the product, where their business originated, and some of their future goals. They’re an energetic team fond of a “Cooooooh-aqua!” cheer, reminiscent of something you’d hear from a coach on the sidelines of a game. You can’t help but be impressed by their team spirit and unity and bringing this product to the masses.
Bonus: 2% of revenue goes to the Bikes For Kids Foundation, supporting at-risk youth.
Currently distributed via Sysco, UNFI, KeHE, CoreMark, McLane, Sysco, Ben E Keith, and Canteen, they are working on getting it in more stores, but so far, you’ll find Coaqua at Sprouts, Wegmans, ShopRite, Giant, 7-Eleven. You can also order it online at Drinkcoaqua.com and Amazon.
Unique flavors, thirst-quenching, and not high in calories. The cans I got range from 80 to 110 calories for the entire can. Next up, I plan on making a sour with the Citrus Circus…a bourbon sour, that is. It’s even fun to just drink plain out of an unnecessarily fancy wine glass.

Keep an eye out for Coaqua, I think you’ll find it’s your new favorite coconut water!
