I’ve done the CHOC Walk several years now, and it is THE best reason to get up early! We’re in the California Disney parks before they are opened to the public, surrounded by Disney lovers from all over, as we work together to fundraise for the Children’s Hospital of Orange County, or CHOC. Made up teams large and small, we walk through both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, smiling, laughing, and enjoying the Disney magic…but without the crowds and waiting in lines!
The CHOC Walk in the Park is full of fun photo opportunities, and every year, we make more fun memories by meeting other fundraisers and Disney fans as we help CHOC care for 250,000+ patients per year, from infants up to young adults. CHOC is comprised of five centers of excellence: Heart, Research, Orthopedic, Neurology/Neurosurgery, and Oncology. Dollars we raise help go towards pediatric healthcare resources, behavioral health resources, and so, so much more. Not only does CHOC have an autism center that will always have my heart, but they also provide services regardless of the family’s ability to pay, giving all the children hope for a happier, healthier childhood.

ORANGE, Calif. (February 6, 2025) – The annual and ever-popular in-park 5K fundraiser “CHOC Walk in the Park,” presented by Disneyland Resort, returns Sunday, Aug. 3, 2025, to raise funds for Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC). Now part of Rady Children’s Health, a premier pediatric healthcare system in Southern California, CHOC is dedicated to providing innovative and exceptional care to children regardless of their family’s ability to pay.
At sun-up, enthusiastic walkers will begin a roughly three-mile course, winding through Disneyland Park and Disney California AdventurePark, encountering fun and whimsical surprises before the parks open to the public. The 2024 CHOC Walk in the Park welcomed over 6,500 participants on 350 teams and raised over $2.3 million for children’s health and well-being.
Now in its 33rd year, CHOC Walk in the Park is the most unique and magical pediatric fundraiser in the nation. It brings the community together for one goal: to raise funds for pediatric care, research, and education, benefitting Southern California children and families. Based on previous CHOC Walks, this year’s event is estimated to feature 350-400 teams, including participants from across the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Australia, and Japan.
“We’re thrilled to bring back ‘CHOC Walk in the Park’ for another magical 5K experience inside the parks,” said Ken Potrock, president of Disneyland Resort and CHOC board member. “We’ve partnered with CHOC for over 30 years to help raise $46 million for children and families in our community, and we’re proud to continue Walt Disney’s legacy of being an active, supportive, and caring neighbor.”

Event elements are subject to restrictions, change or cancellation without notice.
Parking
Complimentary parking is available to all CHOC Walk participants at the Mickey & Friends parking structure with shuttle & tram service available to the Main Entrance.
Parking lots will open at 4:00 a.m.
A pedestrian bridge is also available on the second level of the Pixar Pals parking structure (that is accessible via the Mickey & Friends parking structure), if you prefer to walk through the Downtown Disney District® to the Main Entrance.
In order to receive free event parking, please show your event wristband or pre-arrival confirmation email at the toll plaza. Pre-arrival confirmation email will be sent on July 28 to the address that you used to register for the CHOC Walk in the Park.

Experiencing the Resort After the Event
Admission to the Disneyland® Resort after the walk concludes is not included with your
CHOC Walk event wristband.
To experience the Disneyland® Resort theme parks after the event ends, you will need to reach the $375 CHOC Walk Day* fundraising level by event check in or purchase a separate park admission ticket. For more details on CHOC Walk Day tickets, click here.

For purchased tickets, theme park reservations must be made in advance, if available – reservations could book up weeks or months in advance, so plan accordingly.
