Midlife is the time to pick those brushes back up Midlife is the time to pick those brushes back up and get creative! I signed up for a paint and sip night at Solorio Brewing and had a blast! For only $5 (and the cost of a beer…or two), Jennifer led us through a tutorial to paint a beach scene worthy of hanging on my wall! (Art is subjective so no judgment 😂😂) I haven’t painted on canvas in forever but this has motivated me to pick up the hobby that was once my college major. Joining the military, having kids, starting a career…these things all pull us in multiple directions and we sometimes have to put aside an interest we once loved. That doesn’t mean it’s permanent though! What have you delayed doing? Go out and do it! Take the time for yourself, get out of your brain and stop thinking about what’s stressing you out, even if only for a few hours. I used Hatch Pepper Kettle Corn from Melissa’s Produce and it was delicious, coming in at 375 calories and 38 grams of protein for the entire pint. I may or may not have eaten it for breakfast today.
